What's not in the test-drive download version?
 | It will not actually detect lightning, even if you have the Boltek™
hardware. |
| Three features will work only in the commercial version of the product:
 | Alarms play only during real-time lightning detection. |
| The general status line is reserved for real-time lightning detection. |
| The "detector activity" meter is reserved for real-time
lightning detection. |
| You may edit the sample background map, but you will not be able to
save those changes to the map file. |

What will the download version do?
| You can play back the included lightning archive file. |
| You can download other sample archives and play them back. |

How do I install the software on my computer?
| Lightning/2000™ is distributed as a .ZIP file. Unzip
l2000a.zip in an otherwise empty directory. |
| Run the SETUP.EXE program. |
| You may then delete the directory where you unzipped Lightning/2000™. |
| If you are running Windows2000 or XP, you will need to install
the device driver. |
| If you need to install Lightning/2000 under an operating
system later than Windows XP, click here. |
How do I get started with Lightning/2000™?
| From the Programs menu on the Start button, click the
lightning icon. |
| In Lightning/2000™ click "File|View|Archive..."
and select the archive file. |
| When the archive player appears, click the play button. |
| You can adjust the speed of the archive playback by
clicking the speed buttons on the archive player. |
| The archive playback may be paused or reset to the
beginning by clicking the appropriate button. |
